My Experience At Coachella 2019
Coachella is right around the corner! This year it’ll be held on the first week of April. I’m very excited and I know many of you are too! I’m making this post as a guide to help you if you plan on going this year. I’ll leave you here my experience from Coachella last year.
This was my first time going to Coachella and I had the bright idea of taking the whole family with me. Imagine how the went! I decided to bring along my mom with us because in real life I needed her to help me out with the kids.
We all know that your outfit for Coachella is a huge deal. From the hair, makeup, outfit, to the shoes, you need to go through a whole process to get the perfect outfit. So there I was, two months before the event, coming up with ideas about my outfit. Finally, the time came for Coachella weekend so we packed and headed off. Our hotel wasn’t in Palm Springs because the prices were too expensive. Instead we stayed in Joshua Tree which is about an hour drive away from Coachella. When we got there at the venue, it was extremely full of people. For parking, there was more than one type to choose from for the event. No matter what parking you got, you had to walk a long distance to get to the entrance. There were even Ubers inside the event to take you from place to place because of how long the distances were!
Once we got to the entrance, there was a security checkpoint where they wound search what you brought with you. There was a total of about 3 checkpoints you had to go through for them to clear you for entering. There was security at every corner to keep the lines flowing.
After walking a long distance and getting searched, we finally got inside Coachella. Inside, there was more people and security. There’s about 3 or 4 stages scattered around playing live music at the same time. The main stage was very close to the vip section so I bought the tickets for the vip section. I highly recommend getting the vip tickets because its too crowded outside of the vip section.
When you finally think you’re done with the walking and securities, trust me you’re not. There’s another security checkpoint entering the vip section where they would check your bags again and check your tickets. Once inside, it’s a whole change in scenario. People were much more calm and you encounter a lot of different people such as blogger, singer, celebrities, and much more. I even saw the main actor of twilight , Kristen Stewart, inside. I wanted to fan girl so hard but I kept telling myself “keep cool Laura, don’t look weird”. Everything went so smooth the whole day. There’s even places inside to buy food and drinks so you don’t have to go out of the vip section. You can also watch the concert from there since the section was so close to the stage. There was places with and without a roof if you decide the sun is too much for you. The first day was such an awesome surprise that surpassed my expectations.
The second day we already had an idea of what it was going to be like. The long lines and hours of walking was nothing new. That day Ariana Grande performed and she was amazing! I made sure to take all of my photos in the morning before it got too packed.
Day three was pretty much the same and super fun. That day we decided to leave a little early so we wouldn’t catch the traffic.
I did a collaboration with Revolve that was really cool! They had their own private park outside of Coachella that had music, food, drinks, and so many beautiful places to take pictures. I went the three days with my friends and husband. My mom stayed with my kids at the house. It was hard because they would cry when I would leave so that made me sad, After the event I would always run back quickly to the house so I could be with them before they fell asleep.
Overall, Coachella was super fun and an amazing experience. I would totally recommend going and getting the vip tickets if you can. I promise your experience will be 100x better with those tickets. But all in all, I had a great time and would definitely be going again this year!
