5 Tips to Take a Family Photoshoot for Valentines

Happy Valentine’s Day family! Today I want to talk with you about how to do a photoshoot with your family with a Valentine’s Day theme. Trust me is not to easy, but with love everything is possible!

To start off, buy a background from Amazon. I bought the pink one on my photos from there and it’s made from paper. Or, you can go to Hobby Lobby or any place that sells cute backgrounds for your pictures. I placed my background in my living room since that’s where I had the most space in my house with a stand to support it. You can place your background anywhere that has an open space and room for light to come in.

Props:

1. Helium heart balloons. I bought mine at dollar tree for $1 each.

2. Heart-shaped pillows. I bought them at HEB. I don’t remember the exact price but they were around $10 each.

For the first picture I used:

A pink latex balloon to do the bubble gum effect. In this photo I used the background I mentioned in the beginning and took advantage of the natural light coming from my windows.

For the second picture I used:

The heart-shaped balloons from Dollar Tree. Diego is now older so it’s easier to tell him what to do, but a baby like Mateo who’s 1 is harder to tell him where to go. So we gave him a bottle of milk to have him lay down and be still. It’s hard when the babies are young, so you have to find tricks that work so they don’t get bored and fussy. Even with those tricks, we only got about 2 good photos with Mateo out of the 100 we took!

For the third picture I used:

The heart-shaped pillow with the same background and put the kids laying on the floor. I arranged the pillows under them and around them.

Recommendations:

1. Always buy the props before the photoshoot, so try to get all the ideas before because if not you’re going to be looking last minute for things to buy.

2. Always try to get a person to help you other than the photographer, so you can move quickly and without a hassle and enjoy the photoshoot more.

3. Always have the props together in one place so you can get through the photos quicker and the kids don’t get frustrated as fast.

4. Always try to get all the clothes of the family in the same color or similar. This makes the photos more put together.

5. Don’t take photos when the kids are sick, feeling bad, or in a bad mood. The photos will never come out good, believe me from experience with mine!

5 Tips para tomar una foto familiar en San Valentin!

Feliz familia de San Valentín! Hoy quiero hablar contigo sobre cómo hacer una sesión de fotos con tu familia con un tema del Día de San Valentín. ¡Créeme no es fácil, pero con amor todo es posible!

Para comenzar, compre el fondo rosa en Amazon, es un fondo de papel. Si se te hace tarde o muy complicado, puede ir a Hobby Lobby o cualquier lugar que vendan fondos lindos para poderlos utilizar de fondo. Puse mi fondo en la sala, ya que era donde tenía más espacio en mi casa con un soporte para fotografía. Puedes colocar el fondo en cualquier lugar que tenga un espacio abierto y sobre todo un espacio para que, entre la luz solar, que la que más me gusta para trabajar.

Accesorios:

1. Globos de corazón de helio. Compré los míos en Dollar Tree por $ 1 cada uno.

2. Almohadas en forma de corazón. Las compré en HEB. No recuerdo el precio exacto, pero fueron alrededor de $ 10 cada uno.

Para la primera foto que usé:

Un globo de látex rosa para hacer el efecto chicle. En esta foto utilicé el fondo que mencioné al principio y aproveché la luz natural proveniente de mis ventanas.

Para la segunda foto que usé:

Los globos en forma de corazón de Dollar Tree. Diego ahora es mayor, por lo que es más fácil decirle qué hacer, pero un bebé como Mateo, que tiene 1 años, es más difícil decirle a dónde ir. Entonces le dimos una botella de leche para que se acostara y se quedara quieto. Es difícil cuando los bebés son pequeños, por lo que debes encontrar trucos que funcionen para que no se aburran ni se pongan nerviosos. Incluso con esos trucos, ¡solo obtuvimos alrededor de 2 buenas fotos con Mateo de las 100 que tomamos!,,,jajaj

Para la tercera imagen que utilicé:

La almohada en forma de corazón con el mismo fondo y pone a los niños tumbados en el suelo. Coloqué las almohadas debajo de ellas y alrededor de ellas.

Recomendaciones:

1. Siempre compre los accesorios antes de la sesión de fotos, así que trate de obtener todas las ideas antes porque si no, buscará cosas de último momento para comprar.

2. Siempre trata de conseguir que una persona que te ayude además del fotógrafo, para que puedas moverte rápidamente y sin problemas y disfrutar más de la sesión de fotos.

3. Siempre tenga los accesorios juntos en un solo lugar para que pueda hacer las fotos más rápido y los niños no se sientan frustrados rápidamente.

4. Siempre trate de obtener toda la ropa de la familia en el mismo color o similar. Esto hace que las fotos se vean más coherentes.

5. No tome fotos cuando los niños estén enfermos, sintiéndose mal o de mal humor. Las fotos nunca saldrán bien, ¡créeme por experiencia propia!
